    On a positive note...

    My plums sure have taken off like gangbusters. These were planted in the spring of 2015 and most are 7ft tall. I don't have the best soil conditions on my property so I'm quite happy with the growth!

    Maybe I'm too far north.

    Darn loblolly pitch hybrids just have a hard time up in northern Neb. Had a colder than normal winter and a lot of them showed signs of winter burn after Dec. They seem to be a tough tree once established so I'll wait and see come spring as the buds still look ok.
