    Extreme Blower Seeder

So here is some early results from probably the coolest thing that this seeder can do. Over seeding into a standing crop field. I used the blower seeder to spray some oats, rye, rape, and brasicas into a standing corn field. In general it is coming up pretty good. I found a couple of areas...

    Extreme Blower Seeder

I took this photo today of the same large plot that is in the video featuring the blower seeder at the beginning of this thread. This was planted exactly 19 days ago. We had a few days of rain right after I planted it and then we just came off of a week straight of oppressive heat and...

    Extreme Blower Seeder

I know that Cabela's sells at least one of the models. Extreme Blower Products has a website that you can order direct. I would assume Amazon and other outlets too. Like I said, I have nothing in mine. I met the owner through a mutual friend. Our meeting wasn't food plot or hunting related...

    Extreme Blower Seeder

Did you even read the post? I have a 48" wide disk that I pull behind a Ford 1520. This plot is easy access and I traditionally till about half of it and plant that half to brassicas, the other half stays in clover. This year I killed and tilled the entire thing as it was like year four on...

    Extreme Blower Seeder

Wow ... I kind of forgot about this post over the past couple of weeks. LOL ... lots of arguing for such a simple concept of a product and one that doesn't break the bank for the guy who cannot afford or have access to large equipment ... LOL. Dang guys ... just a simple practical product...

    Extreme Blower Seeder

It is simply a piece of equipment that is an option for guys out there. No need to over think it. Yes, a drill, seeder, pull behind spreader are much better at an even seed distribution especially in a large open plot. But the reality is that there are a lot of guys who don't have that luxury...

    Extreme Blower Seeder

I thought I would share this video that I made with all of you. I posted a different short video in the Throw n' Mow thread as well. I have no official affiliation with the guy who created this product, I was simply introduced to him and he said "here try this out and let me know what you...

    The Throw n’ Mow Method

Since trying Throw and Mow the past couple of years, I find myself doing more and more of it in many locations where I never thought to put a plot in the past. Here is a small video that I did that I call The 15 Minute Food Plot. These plots are so easy to do without even large equipment. I...

    The Throw n’ Mow Method

I finished my throw and mow plot last night. I did the same as last year because it did so well. About 10 days ago I mowed it real high with my bush hog and then sprayed it heavy with Roundup. Then last night I broadcast Grains and Greens from Grandpa Ray's. Then I short mowed the plot 3...

Backpack sprayer for invasive brush control

I used my Harbor Freight one for the first time this past weekend. It was awesome. A great tool that fills the void when I need something to do an area too large for my small 2 gallon pump sprayer, but also don't need (or logistically cannot use) my 30 gal. pull behind sprayer.

Backpack sprayer for invasive brush control

I just ordered the Harbor Freight one. I found a 20% off coupon code online. For $30 if it lasts me two or three seasons it was worth it.

    Ground Hog Max

No rush. I just kind of stumbled on this post as I was checking on some other ideas. I have a couple small wooded plots that I can get my tractor and 4' disk in there, but it is tight. When I saw your post it got me thinking that the Ground Hog Max on the back of my Polaris Ranger might be a...

    Ground Hog Max

I am in northern Indiana and might be interested in this for a couple small plots in my woods that are tight. Post up some pictures and more info.

    The Throw n’ Mow Method

The "Throw and Mow" plot is doing just what it was designed to do now that we have cold temps and snow on the ground. The deer are in excavator mode right now.

    11 Pointer in Indiana

My camera is a Canon XA20. Shotgun mic is a Rode NTG1 and my wireless setup is a Sennheiser (I don't remember the model). Muddy Hunter camera arm and a Manfrotto 701HDV fluid head. Lots of other misc stuff too. This is my main camera set up, but I run DSLR's, small digitals, and even GoPros...

    11 Pointer in Indiana

It has been a great year. My daughters both tagged out on bucks so my season was a success even if I didn't kill anything. All last summer I had been watching two bucks in particular, both high 140's class deer. Both deer were killed by other bow hunters (I know both of the young men and I could...

    The Throw n’ Mow Method

Just shy of 8 weeks from planting. Almost knee deep every place. Tubes are nice. Leaves are big and full.

    The Throw n’ Mow Method

This throw and mow plot of mine just continues to impress me. I took this photo today at lunch. Today is just shy of 5 weeks. It is thickening up and the tubes are developing nicely.

    The simplist of water holes

I agree J-Bird. Just what I have been told is all. I have been told it both ways. I have some ICO friends and I will run it by them.

    The simplist of water holes

So I have been toying with this idea for quite sometime, but haven't done it yet. One fear that I have is that here in Indiana I've heard mixed feedback whether this is considered "baiting" or not. In my mind I cannot see how this is much different from digging a real pond ... just on a micro...
