I have several trees (chestnut and sawtooth) that have lichen on the bark. They are not shaded trees either. Any indication on what this means? Most are growing ok, although some of them are slower growing, thick trunks but not much height. Anyone see this with their trees?

I cleft grafted 10 persimmon seedling back in the middle of April. A month later....... Green! They are finally budding out. This was my first attempt to graft besides a bark graft and it seems like a few at least will make it. But come on! A month to push out!!!!!
