I have a 12ft Wicked pole saw. Absolutely love it. I’ve cut a mountain of brush with the thing over the last 5 years with zero problems. Collapses down to about 30”, strap it to pack and take it to stand with me if I’m going to a spot I haven’t trimmed out.
To clarify if a dominance of switchgrass as far as the NWSG component of a area is the goal you can do it without much fire even in a small area. Go for it!
My 2 cents- any time you want to have a stand of any NWSG long term plan to burn it at least every other year and even doing that(which is the best way to manage a established stand- not my opinion, that's the biology of the warm season grasses) you will be amazed at how succession will try to...
Very susceptible to gly, crossbow this time of year. Stink the area up with appropriate herbicide applications now or regret it later! Wish I'd never seen it here!
I love learning, and laughing at the ideas on this forum. Why can't it just be a place to exchange info and leave the hate and butt kissing out of it? Sometimes I wonder how some people get any HABITAT work done between posts.

TC- I've had success storing wildflower seeds in plastic bags in a cooler in a relatively cool dry basement. I've had no trouble keeping them two years that way. I always dormant seed my forbs in the second winter of a new CRP contract, so that herbicide can be used while the NWSG is getting...
Long time lurker on the other place and here. Time to participate. I hope that this shake up in time makes this the library of habitat and food plot knowledge the other place was. Hello everyone!
