    pole saw opinions

I have a 12ft Wicked pole saw. Absolutely love it. I’ve cut a mountain of brush with the thing over the last 5 years with zero problems. Collapses down to about 30”, strap it to pack and take it to stand with me if I’m going to a spot I haven’t trimmed out.

    Calling all Thistle warriors...

Stinger herbicide is the best on Canada thistle in my experience. Early fall is the best time to spray the new plants in the rosette stage.

CIR Switch in in smaller patches??

My 2 cents- any time you want to have a stand of any NWSG long term plan to burn it at least every other year and even doing that(which is the best way to manage a established stand- not my opinion, that's the biology of the warm season grasses) you will be amazed at how succession will try to...

Any way to end all the Transfers from QDM site?

I love learning, and laughing at the ideas on this forum. Why can't it just be a place to exchange info and leave the hate and butt kissing out of it? Sometimes I wonder how some people get any HABITAT work done between posts.

    First yeah crp question

Year one I usually just mow when I start seeing switch emerge or when any of my problem weeds are just setting seed. Year two I usually spray with 2,4-D or dicamba. By spring year three I can usually get fire across the planting, which is my preferred management. These plants are designed for...

    Wildflower seed storage?

TC- I've had success storing wildflower seeds in plastic bags in a cooler in a relatively cool dry basement. I've had no trouble keeping them two years that way. I always dormant seed my forbs in the second winter of a new CRP contract, so that herbicide can be used while the NWSG is getting...
