I did requeen 2 of the hives but as long as there a good strong colony I'll just let them take care of it. I had a couple hives that were testier than the others and those are the ones I put a different/new race of queen.

Yea I've been splitting too. Bees are booming. I just had to split a hive that was made from a split in early April. Guess I should have got another box on em sooner. Found capped queen cells in it already lol.

I'm in northern Ohio. Gotta say it was pretty damn cool when totality hit. Tree frogs fired up and saw a couple stars. Definitely worth experiencing

I'm pretty new to the bee game myself just having started last year but have learned alot from some seasoned people in a bee club I joined. The club teaches and I would recommend you get in the hive thru the good months every 7 to 10 days to see what's going on in there ( weather permitting)...

My hives had a lot of activity today. Bringing in some pollen, I assume from maples? Pretty early for northern Ohio. Happy they made it through the winter.

Agree on the vertical vine. Works like a charm. Got tons of pics from fawns to the bigguns checking them out
