Tree Planting to Enrich, Restore, and Adapt Northern Forests is a new resource developed by University of Vermont, University of Massachusetts - Amherst, and the Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science. This guide was created for foresters, landowners, and natural resource managers to help make informed decisions when using tree planting as a strategy to meet and sustain forest regeneration goals. Given the unprecedented challenges threatening many forests, this guide emphasizes how tree planting may be used as a tool for restoration, adaptation, and mitigation in an era of global change.
