Tractor tool box

Last year I bought a Kubota B2601. I love it. My only complaint is the cheap little plastic tool box that comes with the tractor. I looked at options to add a better tool box. I really like the Artillian stuff but it’s not inexpensive. I saw where people were taking ammo cans and making tool boxes out of them. I went to the local Dickey Bubs store and bought a couple surplus ammo cans for $16 a piece. I drilled holes to match the holes on the back of the roll bar to replace the existing tool box and the I drilled some holes to mount a second ammo can on an unused bracket on the side of the bucket arms. I bought a couple cans of kubota orange spray paint and and painted them to match the tractor. the front tool box has a few hand tools, gloves, some extra pins and items I might need while I’m out working. The back tool box has a 20 foot chain and couple Pins. It really worked out well.

Nice! I too have been looking to upgrade the tool box on the John Deere 3025E. The 3020 Ag tractor has a decent box that fits chains and tools, but the 3025E's is more like a glove box built into the fender. Your post has given me an idea or two, as I always like to have a chain available and my basic tools.

This is John Deere's idea of a tool box on the 3E series...I guess it is better than nothing...

Nice, but I'm too rough with my tractor and FEL. It would get smacked in that location for sure!

Very nice! I like it.
