Too last to frost seed in Connecticut ?

three out of the next four nights are going to be 27, 26 and 28 with 1-3 inches of snow. I know the ideal time to frost seed clover was prob late February or early March. Would I be wasting my time if I tried it now?

I meant “ late”

It may not be "ideal" but it's probably not too late. What kind of ground are you looking throw the seed on?

It’s a hayfield ( orchardgrass).

I'd definitely do it. This kind of weather qualifies as March in my mind.

You have snow on the ground and below freezing night temps. I think your still the zone and you will catch all the spring rains good to push the seed in.

I have 10 inches of snow. Go by the weather, not the calendar. What are you going to do with the orchardgrass?

The farmer cuts it for haying.

Will the clover have a chance due to the orchardgrass already established there? I went ahead and did it anyway. See what happens .
