The wife and I stayed in a grain bin conversion during the holiday weekend. The cabin was nice and thought I'd share some photos to possibly give people some ideas.
That's pretty cool. There used to be a hunting operation near me that converted these into a lodge. It was called Twin Silos for obvious reasons. Here's a picture I found of it from when the Mississippi river was up.
Nice pics. I am still upset with myself for not thinking of converting my two grain bins into a cabin prior to actually building a real cabin a few years back. The two bins sit about 10 feet apart from each other, so I could have easily built a vestibule between them to effectively double the space. They were tall enough that a loft would have been very doable too.

We're not too far away from each other. I grew up in Pride. My mom still lives on the property I grew up on. I live in Gonzales now. Beautiful country around St.Francisville.

I still live down here. I bought a small farm in Kentucky. I got tired of leases around here and couldn't afford to buy something equivalent to what I could in Kentucky down here. I killed my first few deer in Mississippi.
Is there a bathroom or shower in there anywhere? Did they vault the ceiling in the 2nd level?
I'd really enjoy looking that project over to see how they dealt with many of the challenges I'm envisioning. It looks really cool from the photos.
