Smooth brome control in alfalfa/clover plot

We have a 5 acre firebreak/food plot of alfalfa and clover around our CRP field that has some issues with the hated smooth brome and was wondering if anyone had any input on the best herbicide for the job. I love weedy alfalfa/clover plots but the smooth brome has to go. Some possible options are:
1. Clethodim - lots of grasses controlled but not labeled for smooth brome and I seem to remember people reporting minimal effect on brome in QDMA forum
2. Sulfometuron (Oust/SFM 75) - have seen good control of brome when used around trees but no clue what will do to alfalfa/clover
3. Imazapic (Plateau/Panoramic) - alfalfa tolerates high 12 oz rate but smooth brome control is lackluster per studies
4. Imazapyr (Arsenal/Ecomazapyr) - labeled for smooth brome control and good real world results per below study, uncertain what will do to alfalfa/clover
5. Imazamox (Raptor/Clearcast) - specifically for alfalfa/clover but can't find info on smooth brome control
6. Imazapyr + Imazapic - great brome control in this study but uncertain alfalfa/clover effect

7. Clethodim + Imazapic - suspect mix would improve brome control and should be OK on alfalfa/clover
