Slow elk tracks?

So my son and I are opening an area up about 50-70 yards behind the house for a food plot. Saw tracks for what I first thought must be a neighbor’s cow on the loose. Followed them down and saw they went past my camera from over winter. Thank God it was still working.

I should add, NW Wisconsin. So a pretty cool sight to see since I’m at least 15 miles from the nearest heard as the crow flies.

That's cool. What county are you in? My place is in central Rusk County WI and the nearest elk herd is about 10 miles to the NE, but I've also seen elk sign 10 miles to the NW. I'm really hoping that I see an elk up there sometime.

I’m in Ashland Co. I hunt them in the fall in Wyoming. And I’ve seen elk from the Clam Lake heard many times driving through there. And once while flying we saw a couple of large bulls lying in a clearing on the old ELF lines.

But having one walk behind the house? Priceless!!!

Wow, jewelry for elk. Red mean dead, shoot it. A little extreme in my opinion, but i hate elk.
