Seed germination

Gross144

A good 3 year old buck
Had a question. Was at my place in upstate new york the past weekend. On Wednesday afternoon i disced in the existing buckwheat and fertilized with triple 15.

We have been getting steady rain up until that time and the soil had good moisture content, especially in the more shaded areas of the plot. I then seeded with BOB mixes. Some clover, chicory, wheat brassica mix and some radishes. I was surprised to see that by saturday late afternoon i was seeing small plants seedlings sprouting everywhere.

Could this be from my seeding on wednesday or was it weed seeds that had been disced up. Plot has good ph.

Ive seen brassica's germinate in 2 -3 days with good moisture. I've also mixed clover with brassica's and had it choke them out.

It could also be volunteer buckwheat. It germinates very fast with warm soil temps and moisture.
