Yearling... With promise
Has anyone in the midwest, northern plains had any luck with sainfoin. I read that is used often in Wyoming, and Montana?

No luck what so ever! I refuse to sell it anymore! Very hard to get established!

^^^^This is the kind of advise that keeps a lot of us from wasting a lot of time and money! Thanks guys.

I was afraid of that. The description sounds to good to be true. Even though I'm sure I'll be disappointed I might plant a small plot. If it fails I'll plant some brassica in the fall

IME, some type of clover fills the same niche that sainfoin would fill....for less money, and with fewer problems.

Yes and some clovers will grow on top of a concrete pad with no dirt, while sainfoin wouldn't grow in a lab controlled environment watered every day! Biggest waste of money in my area I have seen since Real World anything!
