Red-Tailed Hawk Targeting Thanksgiving Dinner!

Humans not the only critters looking for a November turkey dinner! Video captured earlier in the month, with the turkeys picking seed from a food plot I'd just planted... and as is evident, putting them at some risk of being targeted by a healthy-looking red-tailed hawk!

A few months ago, I found a number of gobbler feathers and a couple of redtail hawk tail feathers. Dont know if the turkey survived - saw no carcass. I have a hard time believing a 3 lb hawk can kill a 20 lb turkey - but the hawk must have thought he could

I shot a gobbler a few years ago and filmed it with a really old camera. After the shot a large bird of prey dive bombed the flopping turkey. Thought I had the video on here somewhere.

We get bald eagles around here in late January through March. Last February I watch an adult Bald Eagle dive bombed an flock of turkeys. I did not see any fatalities so it was safe to assume the eagle was just harassing them.
