Planting in Fall

Peeps

I grabbed 3 trees that were on clearance from a nursery by me. Got an Early Girl pear, Snow Sweet, and a State Fair. They are all about 6 ft tall and potted in the black fabric bags. Never planted in the fall heard it should be fine to do so. My question is should plant them with the fabric bags still on or try to cut some of the bags off? The nursery told me to leave the bag on as they said it decomposes. Most have some roots growing through the bags.

I think leaving in the fabric bags will be fine. Just had some landscaping done at home and they left the shrubs in the fabric bags. The less disturbance to the roots the better. They will need lots of water.

I slice the bags some right before going in the hole, have had good luck with it.

I planted all 3 yesterday. I sliced the bags and then pulled them off in the hole as I back filled.
