Natural rooting hormone from willows

I have come across a bunch of articles on how to make a natural rooting hormone from willow cuttings. Willow contains a high amount of benifical acids that helps them grow so fast and also fight off disease. This can be transferred to other cuttings thru soaking up willow water. All you have to do is take year old willow cuttings and cut them into 1 inch pieces. Let them soak in water a couple days, then soak what ever cuttings your planting in the willow water for a few hours no more than a day. The left over water can also be used to water the cuttings in the ground to give them a boost.

I tried that, and it didn't seem to make a difference. I will try again this Spring.

I was told a similar deal.

I read somehwere to boil the water. You may have to get the willows at the right stage in the year too. Like when they wake up for the year.

Also, the willow you take. Variety and branch thickness. Going for the big chunks on the bottom might not be the best.......
