My Garage Build

Peeps

5 year old buck +
The builder broke ground today and put in the pad. I’ll update the thread as they progress. May be a delay before concrete is poured as I’m waiting to get on the well/septic/plumber’s schedule. Details on the building are on my pole barn ideas thread. IMG_9617.jpeg

Hope everything goes smooth for you and the build goes well! Excited to see the progress!

They are framing up the perimeter and roughing in the floor drain today. The foam boards for under the slab also arrived today. IMG_9629.png

What was the crane truck doing?

Looks like they're pumping the concrete but I could be wrong.
You are correct. There is foam board insulation down so they pumped the crete.

How long did the pour take?

How long did the pour take?
That slab pour was done during the morning. Didn’t take long with the boom truck and the cement trucks waiting in a line.

Yesterday they poured the 30x40 pad in front of the garage, the patio, and the small pad outside the far man door. I semi also dropped off a load of lumber last night and today the electric company stopped by the flag off the burried electric path to the building.

Looks like they did a nice job on the floor.

That was quick.

happens quick. Good looking building!

Wow. Very nice. Shaping up to be a real Garage Mahal.

The outside steel is all up except on the patio overhang. The electrician and plumber were here today to start their stuff in the walls. Once they are done the spray insulation crew will be here. IMG_9827.jpegIMG_9826.jpeg

Is it all black? If so, why the two piece on the sides?

I like the look of these new black buildings. Curious to see how the paint holds up though. And are you afraid it will be hot in the summer?
