Logger needed

Any suggestions on loggers in the Princeton Wisconsin area. Mostly veneer Oaks.
Give me the good, bad and ugly.

I don't know of any loggers that far east, but who exactly told you they were mostly veneer grade oaks? The logger may have a thing or 2 to say about that, so watch yourself, they don't like paying veneer grade prices if they can get away with it.

Exactly nobody told me. But most are 2 1/2 feet across or bigger with not a branch for 30 feet. On my other property in Iola I had smaller oaks that were veneer.

You may want to get a forester involved before choosing a logger, that will usually net you extra money even after paying the foresters fee.

I couldn't offer any better advice than that. Find a reputable forester that is on the same page as you as far as your desire for habitat improvements being part of your plan, and they will put you in touch with the "best" loggers for the job.

Forrester who is on the same page as you in what you want your woods to be. Then its time for marked trees and sealed bids. Exciting.
