ladino clover

I'm interested in the answer too - but gorgeous plot.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! DON'T touch it. I'm not seeing many weeds in it so let the deer have their way with it. Chicory looks GREAT as well.

My clover and chicory always looked better after mowing and the deer seem to like the new growth better. I mowed it 3 times a yr.

No way I would mow it - at least not right now!

Three weeks from now when all those ladino blossoms dry out you'll have tons of free seed for the next generation.

Let the bees, deer, and other wildlife enjoy the buffet and mow it later in the year if you feel the need.

Agree, it looks great I would leave it alone.

Thanks for all the advice you all have, and positive comments! It's my first food plot and I went against some advice to start the plot in the fall and started it late April last year , I did have to frost seed a few bare spots this year but with plenty of early season warmth and plenty of rain seems to be doing good.

I mowed my clover chicory last week. It was much taller than yours though. Your plot looks much better than mine by the way.

That picture of your plot should be on the outside of a food plot seed bag.

Yep !! ^^^^ :emoji_thumbsup:
