Kiln drying lumber???

That top looks really good. It has a weathered appearance even though it's not old. That's the first hackberry slab I've ever seen. Nice !!

Was that tree trunk kiln dried ?? And what kind of wood is on the front of the table ??

Thanks! It was left out to allow a fungus to grow in it which give it that appearance. It's called spalting. He said this would work well with the hackberry and it did turn out nice. No kiln drying for this wood. The front boards are oak. I left a live edge on everything so that you could see the paint on the other side that matches the wife's accent walls.
