I've got a couple of these in and around my yard. This one has a tree like form but others look more like shrubs.

Sorry for the bad pics. My phone doesn't do so well in that department.

I don't think its nannyberry. These fruits have 4 distinct "sides" to them. My first thought was some sort of crab apple.

Looks like it is some sort of Euonymus. The pods are splitting revealing a red seed/fruit inside.

I think this could be Eastern Wahoo. Many of the other euonymus's have orange seeds.

Spindle tree?

thought it could be but everything i see has spindle tree with orange seeds
