Hybrid seedlings versus Minnesota white oak transplants!

The seedlings are at least two months younger IMO.

They seem to love the XXL kwick trip cups!

The white oaks are to the left.

Thanks!

The Minnesota red oaks seem to have thrived after being transplanted!

No they were seedlings I transplanted several weeks before the hybrids emerged, or were even planted.

they came from ham lake near Carlos avery on snelling avenue

Then they are the same ones I had. I got them from him also. Didn't know if I sent some to you.

Re those hybrids from B116757 - I had a small handful of them that are still in the fridge and just now started sprouting radicals. I know spring or fall planting is ideal but is there any reason they wouldn't do well if I direct seeded them in the yard now somewhere they could be protected/watered?

I'd try it.

I would use them 55 ounce quick trip cups to sprout them. Just drill some holes.

shade them, plant them in fall..

I repotted mine in 4,5 gallon pots. In shade. But I live in the freaking desert.

I will plant them in September.
