GRIN Scion size caliper ??

For those that have done apple scions through the GRIN what size scion caliper/dia of scion wood should I expect from them. I have to put an order in for root stock again this year and was wondering what has in the past been shipped out to people. Thanks

You shouldn't. With a single order, caliper ranged significantly in diameter depending on variety for me. It is kind of a "you get what you get" thing.

I typically order 100 3/16 to 1/4" caliper root stocks. I guess what Im worried about is if they come 3/8" or larger... Have you seen overly large dia scions.

Most of mine have been on the small side not the large side, but most of what I've ordered has been crabs.

I have never received any that wouldnt fit on 1/4" root stock.

As long as you get one side to match up you are golden. Don't worry about the size worry if you will get what you ordered lol
