Great Plains / LP bent opener spring rods

We received a 3p806NT drill on my current project so I wanted to scope it out. I was surprised to find many of the opener spring rods bent to hell. What kind of abuse does it take to get them this out of whack?

That’s kind of what I was thinking. Construction hunyucks running it and not knowing wtf they are doing and turning with it.

I’m not so sure that wasn’t done by someone trying to reach in and work on something. It is tight between the rows.
