Garry oaks acorns free to good home.

Angus 1895

5 year old buck +
These oaks dominate much of the Oregon land scape between the two mountain ranges.

Very drought tolerant…..the ones I have access too are in acidic soil.

They haven’t done that well in my 7.4 pH but perhaps some one wants an outlier in their eastern forest to get the next big hybrid?

U want them I will ship a small usps box full to you.

Just let minnow as I’m leaving tomorrow

What USDA zone? How cold does it get?

U need to look them up.

But im in Zone 4 B ( in Idaho)with a lot of late frost and they survive. The ones I know are from here send down very thick roots and not much tree. They are coming 3 next spring.

I think zone 5 is where you should plan. But hey I’m open to anyone who wants to try. I’m telling you they dominate many areas in Oregon therefore I believe their genetics may be beneficial.

It seems when it’s a wetter area the big leaf / big tooth maples take over.
But where it’s drier these oaks dominate.
