Food Plot #7

This will be out 7th food plot that. I thought food plot #4 was a lot, but we have been happy with the results and keep making more. This one will be 0.3 acres and located close to an apple orchard that is about 0.6 acres which also has a small deer pond. The orchard is around 4 yrs old and mostly all apple trees. There is cedar swamp to the Southwest and West and a field bordering it to the North. We have a basically identical setup on the opposite side of the field so regardless of wind direction you'll be able to setup near one of the plots/orchards.

We are also working on food plot #8 that will be a small kill plot near a really heavy scraping area. This plot won't be accessible by tractor so it'll be a spray, throw, and mow plot which we are doing some of that on our larger plots too since it has been so effective besides trying to time fertilizer application with a rainfall. That is tough to do when living an hour from the property and having young kids at home!

I hear yeah with having young kids at home trying to get time to do anything is almost impossible. But when we get there we work full days and go hard as long as we can. Keep up the good work!

We are in Northeast Wisconsin. About an hour North of Green Bay.

We certainly don't have as good of hunting as a lot of areas in Wisconsin since our soils aren't as good, but we get a dandy every once in a while.

Yup, we hire a friend to clear out the stumps with his dozer. He has a rock rake on a skidsteer too that'll get rid of a bunch of the sticks and rocks too. He did that on one of our plots and saved us a lot of time!
