Took my son out for an afternoon hunt. Birds were flying decent and our shooting was above average, so we came home with enough for a nice mess of poppers.

Nice job fingers, great mess of birds! Dove season is the BEST! And exceptionally good when you can take your kid with you!

We like to put ours on the tailgate for pics too.

What type of dove is that...looks like it's crossed with a rock pigeon?

"Ringdue" (ring dove) from Norway. They're huge compared to rock doves.

We don't have feral pigeons or rock doves here. The climate is too harsh. The native doves all migrate, and I suspect they will be gone at the end of the month.
