I got the word that the spores that cause apple scab are starting to appear so I will be spraying copper and dormant oil which takes care of a lot of mites and aphids that could later cause damage to apples. I am reading the Penn State Fruit Times and although the occurrence is south of me I have the opportunity to spray tomorrow. Many say that this dormant spraying is possibly the most important spray of the season and can cut down on the number of sprays during the season if you have limited time to spray. Just an FYI guys. BTW my fruit buds are looking way good this year and I am excited as long as we don't have any late frosts or hail LOL
