Distance for pollination

I am running out of places to put apple trees, but I want one in my back yard, I don’t have any other apple trees within 100 yards, and that would be through the woods. I only want to plant 1 tree in this location, will it get pollinated well? Or will it be to far from the other trees and not produce many apples?

Agree with chummer, but could you plant a self-fertile tree in that spot or do you already have it picked out?

Plant whatever cultivar that you want there. Then graft a crab apple onto one branch.

I want it to be a good people apple for me to eat. Other then that, nothing picked out yet.
