Did I kill my trees?

I got some bare root trees yesterday and left them in the car over night with the intent of planting this morning. The roots were wet and bagged, but it got cold (28 when I woke up). The wet parts of the bags are not frozen solid, but kind of crusty with some surface ice. Did I kill them?

They haven't budded yet. I was just worried about getting the roots to cold. Been stressed about it all morning but I'll plant them anyway. It's nice to hear that they should be ok, it'll make digging those holes easier.
