Sounds like you need to take a 6 pack for a drive/walk and see if you can't find it. ;)

This is the only place that I know of to order parts. Search for 71. Then click on 1001-71 Flex unit planter and then click sectional index. I ordered 9 tooth sprockets from this years ago and had them dropped off at a JD dealer parts drop shed about a mile from my house.

I think so...I just did the part breakdown on the the site I listed above and the cover alone is $88.62. Add the side and rear cover retainer springs and the total is close to $108.00.
