Cold water shock

Angus 1895

I was wondering if near freezing water would have detrimental effects of planting seedlings potted into their permanent location?

Thanks

Planted? Nope

Planting.

I think the depth of your plantings would keep the roots protected. I've overwinter trees in pots above ground that survived. The freezing didn't kill them. But, take what I said with a grain of salt as I'm not in the same climate as you and certainly don't want to screw up your investment in trees.

Reading a cannibis growing guide, cold water shock is used to get them to flow resin.

So one part of me thinks cold water would get them to produce root and not leaves.

But another thought it may make them go dormant.

I just don’t know. So I try to wait for it to warm up some.

It has been beautiful here.
