Braestar in zone 4a

So in 2016 I saw that Stark Bros. had some good prices for bareroot apples (late in the season). So I ordered 2 Idareds and 2 Snappymacs. Well one of the Idareds didn't make it come springtime 2017 and I called up Stark. The nice lady on the phone had no problem warranting my tree but asked if I wanted to try another variety. Sure I said and she suggested Braestar, now mind you I was at work with a few minutes to call and I thought nothing of this and I said lets try it. As the rest of the week goes by I get to thinking about Braestar.....hmmmmm......how did she know what zone I'm in......did she just get that off my address. So I look up Braestar and I see it's rated at zone 5-8.......well I'm in 4a.....damn!
I call them up and they had already shipped out the first tree, they told me to keep the Braestar but would send out another Idared.
Now here's my thoughts..... I planted the Braestar but as I'm sitting here in the tundra with another Vikings season down the tubes and nothing else to think about but trees......what would you do with the Braestar?? Possibly waste my efforts with a tree that may die because it may not be cold hardy....Replant with a better choice?
I know I'm thinking this out too much but marginal zoned trees are they worth it??

Ya can’t beat the price Jimmy. Assuming you are not space constrained, I’d let the tree grow and see what happens. Other than the question of zone hardiness, this looks like a nice apple to have. I’ve seen different growers publishing different zone suitability ranges, so a one zone difference is not necessarily the kiss of death. It’s worth a try, and fun to keep an eye on. Good luck!

Depends on your space availability. I have VERY little open ground, sunlight is at a premium. So for me, it wouldn't get planted, or it would get put in a less than ideal spot.
