Thought I'd show you guys my new toy. Been thinking about getting a bigger tractor for a few years now. My little JD 750 was nice, but it just lacked the horsepower I need for some bigger tasks. It was also only 4' wide and I often found it a little tippy on my hills and wood roads. Found this JD 990 about 45 minutes away, and after 2 trips to see it, made a deal with the owner...40 HP, 4WD, power steering, only 400 hours. It came as a package with a 7' york rake, a 6' back blade, a 5' box blade, a 6' JD brush hog, a rear ballast box, a set of forks, all manuals, tire chains.
It arrived today, and I also made a deal earlier in the morning to sell my 750. Perfect timing.
I'm going to try a 6' snow blower on the rear and a snow blade on the front this winter. Should also be fun next spring on my land getting some food plots established.
