Best Short clovers for mowed orchard?

Catscratch

5 year old buck +
I like to mow my orchard with the lawn mower. Guessing 4-5 inches is the highest it goes (never really checked). Most of my clover plots stay around 12 inches or so. I find that they don't handle being mowed that low well during the heat of summer. What can I count on to last 4-5yrs that likes to grow very low to the ground? And of course deer have to like it...

My lawn id full of dutch white clover. Not sure what deer think of it, but it is a clover and I mow it pretty short.

My yard is too. Deer walk through the yard but they don't stop often to eat.

We have white Duitch in our camp lawn. Deer will eat it, but it's not a huge draw like food plot clovers. Dutch is good for N-fixing and bee attraction though = pollination.

Durana clover does well mowed fairly low. It will die back in the heat, but it bounces back.

Deer eat my White Dutch like they are on crack most of the time. I guess its all in the location. It barely gets 2" tall outside the exclusion cage at my place. Mine is in shade 50% of the time and has good moisture unless its super dry.
