Anyone use the rubber strips for grafting??

An old timer gave me a big handful of the strips. I did read the information form Penn State on using them.

Can anyone offer suggestions or personal experience?

Limited experience with them. I used them on my T-buds last summer and I had very poor success with the buds but cant say it was the rubber strips fault.
