Anybody Nice to their Red Dogwood?

Curious if anyone is nice to their red dogwood. Pruning, fertilizer, or even water when its bad out?

Getting ready to rototill and put in about 75 red dogwoods.

Not sure, I planted a bunch of them and forgot about them. Went back in the fall and didn’t see any. I am going to at least cage some this year.

Plnated a whole bunch in my backyard in 2018, not caged. Deer nibbled them all to death. Put some in last year at camp, uncaged. Nibbled up some, not to death though. Got 20 coming in late april from the local soil and water.

Someone on here had good luck planting them in a log pile instead of caging.
