Yup, you have a nice, lush carpet of CC on your hands. It spreads through seed, underground rhizomes, and stolons(much like white clover) when they make ground contact, so it can be a PIA to get rid of. Borax will help knock it back, yes, the laundry stuff...just make sure you don't over do it.
2,4D will kill it and is most effective both in the fall as the plant is pulling moisture to its roots to survive the winter and during flowering.
