Age?

CentralKyHunter

5 year old buck +
I usually don't get into the whole age this deer thing but let here your alls opinion on this one.

I'm thinking 4.5

No younger than you said but more than likely 5.5. The brisket is very deep, and the massive shoulders are playing tricks on your eyes with the neck.

When that deer gets its fall body you are looking at a bulldozer!

Agree with Native... total bruiser! His buddy is no slouch either.

That's very believable. He was a beast last year and is sizing up to be one of the best deer we've had around in the six years we've owned the property.

Anxious to see what happens with him this year. The neighbors are very reputable hunters that let deer mature. Hope one of us gets him , would love to lay hands on him .

The whole age thing is a new venture for me . Usually if it has a problem unique rack I'm interested but have had the place long enough that age is starting to become a focal point.

Thanks for the input

I'm with Native, I have doubts on 4.5.
3.5 is a darn nice deer. 5.5 is getting stupid looking. The nose on that deer is very Roman. The brisket has a single breast in the summer which never seems to be mentioned but sticks out to me. I'm willing to bet in 6 maybe more like 8 weeks the breast will be swallowed by his neck. :).

Let's just say he's a pig and he's over 5 years old. Don't care what the antlers look like, that's a trophy. I hope you get to send his teeth in to have him aged.

On a side note, My neighbor is selling I can't swallow it all and he won't break it up. If I get the wrong neighbor I'm coming to KY. Closer to home and I can maybe still afford it!

Kentucky is a good place to be, from what I see property prices are still affordable and there Serv quality deer
