This past weekend, I found a gallon bag, each, of 'Mid-MO #1' bur oak acorns and 'McDaniel' BurEnglish acorns, that I'd forgotten, in my kids' fridge at the farm.
Both are large-acorn, low-tannin selections, with potential pollenation partners including other large-acorn &/or low-tannin bur oaks and several hybrids (Schuettes, Bebbs, Overcup x SWO, DCOxS.Live) in the mix. These run 20-25/lb.
Available for immediate purchase and planting. $10/lb + shipping, while they last. Probably ~ 5lbs of each selection available
These werre floated and heat-treated before they went in the fridge last fall; I'll re-float to remove any that are light or show weevil emergence, prior to weighing & shipping. Photo of 'McDaniel' acorns - it's the one that the deer come for first!
