Awesome idea!!!!! And love your picks.

I love one hit wonders. Some of mine are not exactly one hit wonders but close.

Fastway- “Say What You Will”. This is a five star one hit wonder.
UFO- “Lights Out”
Head East “Never Been Any Reason”
Rossington Collins Band “Don’t Misunderstand Me”
Shooting Star “Hold On For Your Life Tonight”

John Waite- “Change”

Which leads me to The Baby’s, Midnight Rendezvous, Isn’t It Time and Back On My Feet Again

Other one-hitters that I grew up with include:
The Troggs: Wild Thing
Strawberry Alarm Clock: Incense and Peppermint
and my favorite, Iron Butterfly: In-a-gadda-da-vida." I wore that vinyl record out twice.

As for my favorites, I still listen to Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Res Band, Petra and Love Song.

Dandy list 356! The Troggs & Strawberry Alarm Clock were in my collection too. Didn't listen to Iron Butterfly much though, but very familiar with IAGDV.

Mott the hoople- all the young dudes. Written by Bowie
Manfred man- blinded by the light. Originally a Springsteen song

Despite all their fame and success…the Grateful Dead only had one song to ever reach the billboard top 40. Touch of Grey

I love that song. Heard It On The X too.

Saw them on the Eliminator tour, fuzzy guitars and all. Always preferred their older stuff though.

Neven been a reason by head east.

Got alot of mp3's on my phone. ITs played alphabetically instead of random lately. Got alot more bad company songs than I thought I did.

The roundabout and Paint it black. Gotta say I now listen to lithium or 90's grunge music way more.

When Abacab by Genesis plays first I know I haven’t hit the shuffle button

We could do another thread on this- greatest R&R song of all time? I’m rolling with Gimme Shelter.

That were a band that I heard so much growing up that I was really tired of hearing them. A few years ago I really started to realize how down and dirty nasty their playing is. Really enjoy it.
