    Cuddelink L series Q & A

Did anybody else get a message delivered to them in their normal photo delivery that said there was a new cudde firmware 3.3 out and to get it for your cams. Sounds like they were selling it. I have the most current firmware they have out and my system was working flawlessly since Sept. Now it...

    Cuddelink L series Q & A

I wish I had gone solar years ago. I recommend bit the bullet and go solar. It will pay in long run financially and short term as it will keep one out of the habitat, and stinking up an area.

    Persimmion age

The prok and meader persimmon from Stark Bros started production fruit at 5 years and set heavy since then. I planted them in 2017, I think.

    Research on planting techniques

but it does produce tons more erosion. That cost is enormous and probably incalculable, at least in my small mind.

Anyone had miscanthus long enough to see it die off?

I shred a certain section of my miscanthus down yearly and then plow it up and use it for a rhizome source. It looks just like the rest of the miscanthus that same year that didn't get plowed up. I believe the life expectancy is way more than twenty years.

Today we closed on Maple Hill Farm! Habitat Projects

Looking good TC, I agree that the stagnant water sources are the go to's for deer. I have no idea why but it seems the pooled water sources are used heavily. I prefer to dig mine in so runoff can fill them if I am blessed with rain. I also like the idea that the tanks will be better insulated...

    Gly spray didn't work?

The recommended rate per acre is basically 2 quarts per acre. 1 pint sprayed twice to get to one quart per acre was a weak mix in my opinion. If it was cold temp it may still be working but will take a while to see full results.

    Sad survivor

I had one just like that several years ago. He just disappeared in early fall and then showed back up in January on a corn pile survey, He looked horrible. Was missing the same portion of leg on same leg and really scarred up. My guess he got hit by a vehicle. He survived and actually thrived...

    Best Midwest bedding/Cover possible?

My dad and I planted 1650 tree and shrubs in a day, starting within an hour of sunrise and ending at just after sunset, using a tree planter behind my tractor. He drove, I planted.

    Best Midwest bedding/Cover possible?

When I did my cp33 project, the plan allowed for an alalfa/clover plot around the 3 acres so I would be able to burn the NWSG and pollinator when it management time, perhaps this might work for you.

    Best Midwest bedding/Cover possible?

I did something similar to this about 3 years ago. It was through a general crp sigh up practice. I'll see if I can find out what the practice is and get back to this thread. It was cp33 that williams111 already pointed out. I am late to the party, like normal.

what shrubs are very attractive for deer browse.

Thanks everybody for your suggestions. I greatly appreciate it. I planted a bunch of plum, red osier dogwood, choke cherry, and hazelnut in a 3 acre tree/shrub planting 2.75 years ago on a farm about 5 miles from this farm. They are surviving but not thriving yet. The soil is good but semi...
