Not sure if you've seen this thread or not. I have some of these growing and I am excited to see what they turn into. If they end up half as good as Teeders I will be happy.
Following, I need something too...I was thinking something with a back on it as well. When soil falls on the table just use a shovel to scoop it up against the back of the table.
Thanks for the info. I’m waiting to hear if this field is eligible with the new bill or not. I can’t find where it says what years the field had to be row crops. I’m leaning towards taking out 1/2 acre every year of crops and planting whatever I want. I’ll wait and see what the offer is though.
Was that in tubes with trees that had not reached the top of the tube? I assume once the tree gets large enough to fill a certain percentage of the tube birds are not an issue?
Yep it did get caught in the bird net. I have removed most of them since then. That’s good to know, I was wondering if birds are actually anything to be concerned about
Here is an update on the Bottomland Bur Oak. It Is by far the best one I have growing. Planted in May 2020 as a 20-30" seedling it is now 10ish feet tall with a spreading habit. In 2021 it doubled in size. I didn't get any pics in 2022, but I did in 2023. Should I do any pruning on this or...

The more I’m thinking about this project the more I’m thinking I will forget about any sort of CRP program. It’s not going to be a huge loss rent wise and then I can do whatever I want with it. Everyone here has a different idea. My plan now is to decommission a small piece every year and...
