Thank you! Yea the property has been good to us the last 2 years.. But it's not as great yet as what the pictures show.. our deer numbers are pretty low considering the amount of acres we hunt... we have plenty of sits where we don't even see a deer... but we have been able to capitalize on the...
Questions About Supplemental Feeding
Alright is been a while since I have posted pretty much because deer season has almost come to a close for me here in Ohio... we only have 4 days of muzzleloader season left and the rest now coming up... I'm already thinking about next year...
My main...
Yes I agree.. he is not my highest scoring buck but he is my favorite without a doubt after keeping tabs on him and holding his sheds last year to finally laying eyes and hands on him is an amazing feeling

Alright guys it's been about a month since I updated this thing... Been busy hunting as expected... had the first whole week of November off to hunt... never saw a shooter and was still getting all night time pics of our shooters... but the second week of November was a different story here...
Alright guys haven't updated in a while... we are 2 weeks into deer season here in Ohio...
My wife killed her first deer ever last weekend! One proud husband , we had a couple different bucks coming in that I wanted her to shoot and this was the biggest one and what do you know it was the first...
And here is just a few young bucks that I will be giving my Wife the green light on for this opening weekend to hopefully harvest her first deer ever...and with a compound... should Atleast have a chance at one of them.. they are coming pretty regularly

You hit it right on the head! It all depends on what people consider "the rut" Chasing does? Or bucks on their feet doing rutting activity... I think people worry to much about the peak of the rut! You don't have to kill a big buck when he is dogging a doe... I'd worry more about strictly...
Yea looks like most of the results I've been seeing... I'm sure it works for some people but to me I don't want to take that kind of chance of the plot not producing

I realize the great benefits of the soil and moisture with the no till method and it makes plotting for people without a plow much more possible.
But i feel like every post or picture I see of a plot that is throw and mow the germination just isn't there? Obviously you can see some germination...
I will answer this the same way I answer all age related questions
After raising deer for 15 years I will say this.. In the summer it is extremely hard to age a deer based on body features.. Their bodies will go through a drastic change once they get their winter coat and the rut... I have a 9...
