I've read a couple of discussions here regarding seed. It does seem to me that BOB seed is pretty expensive... even if you are only working a few acres of plots. For those who simply mix their own... what are your go-to sources for non-BOB seeds? Specifically, clover and winter rye.

Ah ... I meant to type "late August". Thanks for the reply! I know that I can't keep the clover out of our lawn at home, so I figured it's worth a shot on this half-acre. I really would hate to till it up and disturb that nice top soil.

Thanks for the add! I’m from Northern Minnesota where we just finished up our firearms season. First year on a new 40 our son bought after hunting public land nearby for over 40 years. Now that we have the lay of the land we are looking to do some habitat improvements. Lots of questions coming!
