Question. I typically plant at 5 MPH. I’ve got an area where I will have to slow down to 3 ish MPH due to its size and shape. Do I need to but the transmission setting up to 4 to accommodate the slower speed? I’ve been on 3 and have had poor stands at 1 and 2.

My bad. I see you needed a slip clutch also. I’ve never bought one with a slip clutch, just the shaft. You scared me…I thought, dang I’m going to have to take better care of my PTO shafts if they are costing that much.

What kind of shaft was it? Some of the cheapest PTO shafts I’ve ever seen have been from Agri-Supply.

+1 for the tractor mounted IMO. Most skid steers are heavy and the compaction behind the tillage would be enough to deter me.

It would depend on your spray calibration. At 15 oz, it would be 1.5 oz per gallon and at 29 it would be 2.9 oz per gallon for my sprayer.

What would cause a disk to throw dirt to the outside and cause a high spot? Also, my front blades are not disking about 3 inches down the center but I do not see an adjustment for them.
