To answer some questions; I don't know what HP your tractor needs to be, but it has to be able to lift about 2500lbs with the 3-point hitch in back. If it can handle that, then you shouldn't have any problems using this No-Till-Drill.
This drill is located in SW Ohio, West of Dayton, OH. This is a full no-trill seed drill. Has 7.5" spacing and, 9 rows. About 8' wide with drive tire. Weighs approximately 2500lbs. Has seed charts and directions to set it for anything from small grasses to corn and peas. This drill was a...
BTW, if you have geothermal tubing that's laying on the bottom of your pond, you should not put in bottom air bubble aeration. You should look into surface aerators. They move water not air, but they are you only option if you have geothermal tubing in your pond.
There are lot's but here's one on eBay. You want a pump that will pump enough air to supply 3 bubbles at different locations in your pond. You don't want a fountain. It cost a lot more to pump water than air...
Literally, the more stuff/structure you put in there, the more places bait fish and all the other fish have to hide and spawn and that makes for more and bigger fish. Anything and everything is game. Doesn't look like you have a lot of trees directly over the pond to dump in leaves so you'll...
It's SW Ohio. Dig down 15" or so and it's clay, but the top soil I'd say was a combination of clay and black soil. Not bad. I'm surrounded by fields of corn/soy beans. It would be considered Ohio farm land. I should have paid more attention in my Soils class. When I work it up with my...
So, I'm putting in another 1.5 acres of food plots in next year. The ground was bush-hogged lasty month. It was pretty thick with briars, cedars, small trees, & some grass. I think it's basically trying to return to the woods that are along side it. I've got a Tar River 507 no-till drill on...
I found one of these and have it set aside. I've "heard" that Ohio many go to no baiting since they've found their first cases of CWD. So, I have room for more plots and I'm thinking I may need them if in case we can't have a feeder out anymore. I have clover and winter brassica's now, but I...
I'd spray them now with Dormant Oil Spray. 3 sprays of it total over the winter. It keeps all the bugs and moulds from forming, laying egss, etc. Good stuff.
Good news is, you can buy land in any state! At least for now. As Yoderjac said, it's important to be close enough to work it and enjoy it. I strongly recommend buying hunting land you live on 24/7. Yea, that reduces your possible work options, but it is absolutely doable.
I've been looking into these and I don't think there are that many of them out there yet. They're relatively new. That's why there are so few videos and dealers who actually have them....yet.
