Been trying to track down a TX22 for months. While checking the local gun stores for a new AR grip, I found out one of them just got one of the TORO models that has a threaded barrel and is optic ready. Couldn't let the opportunity pass my by.
No, we're supposed to believe that humans could.
Scrapie didn't infect cattle, until it did. There are several different types of prions. Because prions jumped 4 species in order to get from goats to humans, the risk that prions could jump from deer to humans is not an unreasonable fear...
You can get a valve and alarm unit that will shut off the water and beep like crazy. We have one under the fridge. It's basically a cord with insulation removed in spots that shorts when it comes into contact with water. It won't clean up the mess, but it will prevent it from becoming...
Redmond salt is the one I put out as well. I put goat mineral with the salt in Ohio, but not in Ontario. Where I hunt in Ontario, the bedrock is dolomitic limestone, so the soil tests revealed very high calcium and magnesium there. I have toyed with the idea of dumping goat mineral or cattle...
They have to. Imagine the mess that would create if baiting wasn't allowed. I don't think those lists are particularly important, and I mostly disregard them. I couldn't even tell you what the threshold is for entry.
I've never fallen asleep while hunting. In fact, I'm more likely to be fidgeting in my seat trying to get comfortable. I think there's a good balance between comfortable enough to focus on hunting while not so comfortable that you feel like falling asleep.
I like an office chair or an old...
That has been my experience. That's why I quit baiting deer. Bait makes it easier for me to shoot antlerless deer, but I don't need help with that. Bait seems to make it more difficult for me to get opportunities on mature bucks.
I have no doubt other hunters have different experiences.
A friend in Ontario has commercial blinds on top of towers he built, and they are COLD. I would happily go that route if I could, but if I'm going to all the trouble to build a tower, I want to put an airtight insulated bling on it. I can't hunt effectively if I'm uncomfortable.
That tower is amazing. Something like that is in my 5-year habitat plan. Ideally I would mill all the lumber myself from cedar and treat it with pine tar, so it would last 100 years for the younger generations.
