Not sure which cam that is but all my new L Strobes do this if indoors or a deer or something gets too close. Completely white with nothing else showing in most of them. Very different from my other white flash cams including Cuddebacks.
Well if they would have responded right away! 😤
They or this page needs a thread for each issue or something. I did search here but only came across the one I responded to above.
I finally got a response from them...and an easy, quick fix. Maybe John posted this elsewhere in another thread.
I don't know why I downloaded the ones for the L twice...that was the issue. I remember putting the files back on the sd card I was going to take up north to the other cams because I...
1. Yes, 2 L strobes and a Home unit(which I did at home)as well as 2 G strobes worked fine using the same SD card.
The only hiccup with the G's was the ”low battery" error at first, when the batteries were fine. Which makes me think those errors and then this SD card error for the L may...
Well I sent an email to them yesterday morning and haven't heard back. I will try calling this afternoon if I have time. Maybe I will get lucky and there will not be a wait.
Unless anyone else has some suggestions...
Nope.
Yep. It worked in the two new L's I got as well as the G's after the low battery issue was solved.
I tried numerous SD cards... Different sizes.
This problem L and the two G's were the ones that were left out waiting to be hooked up with the new Home.
I will be taking this one home because I have to get going. It must have something to do with them being left idle without sending pictures, since I had it switched from the home/camera combo to this L home and I'm just today setting it up for the cameras that were left up here.
The 2 G cameras...
I am getting this same error. L series...has been working fine. Switched to the new L Home unit so this cam and all the others were just sitting here for nearly a week (2 hours from home) until I got this new Home up and running . Went to upload the new firmware for this one L and I'm getting...
It's possible but the direction it came from wasn't through any water. Thick though so could have been wet grass etc.
Tonight I will have to try to find a video of one from awhile back that I thought was so cool looking. Maybe it's the same one or similar- just under better lighting..I think...
I did just get a completely white one when a deer was up close in previous pictures. And with the setting on ”close”. Indoors or too close I guess that's how they will be.
Do not test your strobe cameras indoors 😬 I'd need to adjust this one if I left it there because it's too bright, but at least I know it's working.
Every single pic I got indoors where the flash went off was pure white. It didn't matter how dark it was inside.
Thanks, John 👍
I plan to put the firmware on a different card and trying again. There was no error when doing the updates but I'll try anything.
Edit: I checked the pics off the cam's sd card and it's the same. So it can't be the Home unit.
