Blue Hill 'Wild' Trees - Any Experience?

Here's what I bought: https://bluehillwildlifenursery.com/product/wild-deer-apple-trees/ https://bluehillwildlifenursery.com/product/wild-pear-trees/ https://bluehillwildlifenursery.com/product/wild-crabapple-malus-dolgo/ I'm just curious if anyone has bought the same and had them long...

Blue Hill 'Wild' Trees - Any Experience?

Last year I bought 20 'wild' apple trees, and this year I did 20 each of the 'wild' pears and crabapples from Blue Hill nursery. My thought was to focus on volume and hope for the best with the natural diversity as far as drop times and resistance to different factors. Last years trees seem to...

    Blueberries

Does anyone here plant blueberries? We have quite a few wild ones on our property with the tiny little berries. I like the low shrubby cover and enjoy planting things that are good for wildlife as well as people. I'm hoping if I can get some other varieties going it will produce better...

    Not a sunflower (?)

    The Throw n’ Mow Method

Jack, I'll be very curious about how you deal with that sunn hemp. Mine was and is about 7' tall. My first batch I just broadcast and rolled. My hemp was mostly flowering, very crisp and laid down well. I did make a stand for my spreader so it was about 4.5' off the ground, but I'm still...

    The Throw n’ Mow Method

I've been stalking for a while, read this thread front to back several times, and this spring I planted a mix to TNM this fall. I planted a mix of white proso millett(50#), brown top millett(100#), buckwheat(150#), grain sorghum(50#), sunn hemp(50#) and cowpeas(50#). The plot was tilled...

    Cultipacker

Thanks guys. The kick stands worked out great. As originally pictured, it's way more stable than expected when on concrete or flat solid ground. I was originally planning to have pins run through the stands into the frame to completely secure it but found it unnecessary. When parking it for...

    Cultipacker

I'm new here but have been stalking for the last several months. I've read the TNM thread front to back several times and am just getting started on my own TNM process. I'll detail that in that thread, but thought I'd share the cultipacker it inspired me to build. The frame is from MC12x45...
